2 New Cuts

Having refined the composition of the video with small adjustments to the transitions, shot lengths and arrangements; this week I have been experimenting with new filters for my final video. I have gone to these lengths in order to complete the evolution of the project. Personally I prefer music video 4 but please comment your preference to add to my understanding of what a wider audience might prefer.

1. The editing is better; try to get the cuts exactly on the guitar strum

3. Definitely need to cut on the guitar strums...
4. Not sure about the white/ blackouts. I would cut striaght between them (you are emphasising the change in mood/ tone by the use of the filter)
5. Some of the shots in the narrative are held a little too long - mainly the one at the table with Charlotte
6. There is a rather odd little camera glitch at about 01:52. I don't like the fade between the shots; I would stick to straight cuts
7. Similarly at 02:02. I think I may have suggested the fades, but they're not really working...
I actually think this is a rather impressive piece of work, Freddy. Really, it's the editing which needs to be tightene, but I think the mood/ tone/ range of shots and style are all spot on. Well done!
In terms of which I prefer, I actually like the way the performance is done in number 3 and the way the narrative is done in number 4, although I suspect that they may look too similar when cut together. If you could desaturate the performance whilst maintaining the same quality, and keep the dreamlike nature of the narrative sections, that might work?
